Filippo definitely holds a peculiar record: since he was 1 year old, he has spent at least one month each summer travelling across the Loire Valley in France, following his parents who work as guides and tour leaders accompanying the Verde Natura groups across their bike holidays. From 2010, he has been taking care of the logistics of tours and the maintenance of the bike fleet along the Loire itineraries, which he now knows by heart. He loves the mechanics of things and putting his hands to work and he cannot hold himself back from solving a technical problem whenever he faces one. When he is not in the Loire Valley or along the Avenue Verte running from Paris to London, you can find him, together with his loyal companion Padella, his dog, either in his workshop or climbing his beloved Pietra di Bismantova or any cliff across Europe which deserves to be climbed.
He grew up between the family-run mechanic’s workshop and the skateboard ramps of the neighborhood. While he was graduating at high school as a Graphic Arts and Visual Communication technician, he was already practicing his interests in mural painting, sculpting and creative technology. He has always been paying particular attention to the sustainability of each of his actions in life, thus finding in the bicycle the perfect combination for his ecology-centered conscience and his passion for manual work. The bike has been his main mean of transport since then. He then came to know the world of bike mechanics thank to the movement of the bicycle community workshops, where he himself now teaches to others how to take care of their own bikes and creates crazy pedaling vehicles or organizes charity auctions. He wants to move to the countryside, in a house full of people, with a hen house and a greenhouse in the garden. Beside bicycles, he loves vegetables, graffiti and welders. He has a big problem with sweets.
