Alice

Alice

Alice undertakes her studies in foreign languages almost as a joke, but with the passing of time, she understands that actually it was not so bad.
She continued her linguistic journey at University and finally obtained a Master’s degree in tourism that introduced her to professional life. After her fist experiences in the Hotel world, Alice arrived in Verde Natura to take care of the incoming Italy sector. She thinks that this active tourism embraces her desire to see the world from another point of view.
She defines herself precise and very organised (sometimes too much) , but also sunny and introverted. She believes that there is nothing better than an energetic swim to clear her mind or a relaxing walk with her beloved doggie. She loves the mountains and snowboarding.
Her goal? Trying to visit as many places as possible and learn about different cultures.

Cheerful, lively and very precise, Irene studied accounting and languages. After school she immediately started working as an accountant.
After one whole year off for maternity leave, in June 2017 her path crossed the one of Verde Natura. Here she can combine the desire to make ends meet with her passion for travel.
Her motto is: Viaja, el dinero recupera, el tiempo no!

Luigi

CEO and Founder – info@verde-natura.com

Luigi

Luigi

Luigi is the founder of Verde Natura. He is a ski instructor and a Natura and Walking guide. Many years ago, when these professionals and this field of tourism were nearly inexistent, he decided to turn his passion into a profession. He was a pioneer then and he is a pioneer today, in the true sense of the term: as a matter of fact, he cannot stay too long behind his desk and he jumps into the next adventure as soon as he can, riding his bike to guide groups of travelers or enjoying solo trips. Travelling is his main objective in life, pure satisfaction for all his senses. Exploring, discovering and studying new territories is the first and essential step in being able to propose to his clients new and enticing experiences, letting emotions and sensations come through, together with all the details you can acknowledge only when you travel at a slow pace. This is the kind of travel that let you touch firsthand what you are experiencing and have the time to know the persons you are travelling with, enjoying shared memories that are always unique, like a good glass of wine in an amazing spot, something  Luigi considers one of the pleasures in life.

Matteo

Born and raised in Bergamo, Matteo has a solid background in foreign languages. He has then concentrated his studies on tourism through a Master course and a dual degree in the United States.
After starting his job career as a travel agent, he took on this new adventure in Emilia Romagna guided by his growing passion for cultural and responsible tourism, and his flourishing interest in bike tourism (topic of his master thesis), firstly approached with an internship in Parma.
Matteo enjoys cultures and local traditions, good food (it can never miss to him), he loves talking and relating to people, always discovering new aspects and features of every person and place.
He loves being active, playing sport activities and gardening. He is a really tidy person: his bedroom is a real proof of it, and his sisters can confirm it!
His future is an open book and he is dying to fill in the next page.

Paola

Paola

Arrived in Verde Natura in 2006, here she discovered a world which at that time was totally new to her. She loves going to the movies, food in all its aspects and attending concerts. She already used her bike before her job in Verde Natura, as she was born and raised in the Pianura Padana and that is how you go around here. However, she never thought cycling would end up being part of her work. Nonetheless, bike travelling and the idea of slow tourism are definitely in line with her approach to everyday life: live it with calm, observing and enjoying all the smaller things. Today, her life and time are filled up by her two teenage daughters, who keep her always extra busy. Her modus vivendi is nonetheless her inspiration and, every time she can, she likes to pack up and get away from the city with her husband and children for a break at a much slower pace.

Riccardo

Riccardo

Riccardo is a nature lover, mountain bike enthusiast in all its forms, fond of travelling, trail running, hiking, climbing, mountaineering, survival techniques… and in general anything that is outdoor sports and activities. He comes from the flatlands of the Pianura Padana but he is often up in the Apennines. He hiked around in Italy, in Africa, in the United States and in Turkey and he really cannot stop travelling, because the best trip ever… is the one to come! In addition to sports, he also loves good food, good wine, history, arts, photography and anything expressing beauty. He assesses how good he feels according to the number of days he manage to spend outdoor and he firmly believes that there is nothing in the world which is not worth to be learnt.

Sabrina

Marketing and Communication – s.fontanini@verde-natura.com

Sabrina

Sabrina

Sabrina has always felt an irresistible attraction for places, languages and cultures different from hers. This is why, when the time for university came by, she started studying and living around Europe. After her graduation, she worked as an interpreter and as an Italian, English and French teacher, then ending up in the journalism field. For a few years, she wrote about music, which is still one of her biggest passions. In 2006, she “bumped into” Verde Natura right after obtaining her official qualification as Nature & Walking Guide. Since then, she has swung on saddle and never jumped down. Besides riding up and down all Europe as a bike tour leader, she is also into web and communication. Outside her working hours, she dedicates herself wholeheartedly to her long-time passions (yoga, meditation, photography, trips into the wild nature) and to the new ones, that never start evolving: at the moment, she is studying to become a wine sommelier.

Valentina

Valentina

Born in Castelnovo ne’ Monti (RE), raised in Reggio Emilia, but still proudly considering herself a mountain person, she’s in love with the city of Bologna, that welcomed her with open arms during her academic period and has become soon “home”.
She loves cooking and she’s deeply interested in enogastronomy; almost obsessed with scents and flavours, curious by nature, keen observer always looking for details that add some wonder to the ordinary. Inveterate traveler, enthralled by cultural and linguistic variety, she firmly believes that languages and culinary traditions are the pillars of the cultural identity of a place, therefore she bases her exploration of the world on these two factors.
She enjoys going to exhibitions and cultural events and taking pictures of anything capturing her attention.  She also loves: the warm sunlight filtering through the trees, the expressive power of language, the random acts of unconditional kindness.
