Davide

Born and raised in Calabria, in the booth of Italy and few steps away from the seaside, he now considers Bologna as his second home. It is here that he obtained his degree in Economics and where he is now living. In between the two, while pursuing his education in Denmark, he discovered his passion for travelling and his obsession for “movement”. So, after his graduation, he spent several months as a backpacking globetrotter, as a pilgrim on the Camino di Santiago, then as a woofer picking fruit in Australia. It is only then that he came back to Italy and enrolled in a Master Degree in Economics and Management for Tourism in Venice, then landing in Verde Natura as a trainee. Here, he started a new adventure, making his passion for travelling his everyday job. He loves spicy food, youth hostels, blues music, buskers, Newfoundland dogs, open spaces, wandering around, climbing hills and playing the guitar in public squares. His dreams are travelling around the world and opening his own bar in Bologna.

Erica

Erica

Erika comes from Romagna, the region which has always being  known for its welcoming approach to tourism. She is proud of her origins and she is often mention them. After her studies at tourism school and a number of summer seasons working on the Riviera, she moved to the province of Modena, where she has been working for more than 12 years in the field of cycling and walking holidays. She loves outdoor life, spring, warm weather and the sea. Moreover, she loves to read, read and read. The characteristics of her zodiac sign reveal that she has a strong passion for games, travels, solitude in the forests and mountains, a description that actually fits her perfectly. A few years ago, she became a certified multitasking mom and now she enjoys relaxing herself by cooking or experimenting with sweets and cakes with the help of her little pastry chef. She thanks her son for making her rediscover the beauty and wonder of the little things that, in the frenzy of adult life, she had lost. Her big dream is the USA, on a trip or even for life.

Francesca

Francesca

Travel agent for more than 15 years, Francesca always considered “travelling” as experiencing faraway countries and different worlds. But then, once arrived in Emilia following her heart, she discovered a new sense in travelling, the slow one, which enables to catch and enjoy the small details at their best. She really loves details, so much that she might actually seem a little bit crazy about them! We cannot deny her obsession with framing and photo-shooting… All her family and friends know it quite well, as they are always forced to pose or stop for a picture. She tries to catch ideas and quantities for recipes everywhere, to recreate at home the flavors and tastes reminding her of “other places”. Unfortunatly, she always end up stating that there is a little something still missing! Her biggest problem? Her fatal attraction for all the routes she studies during the day and she strongly wants to visit “anytime soon”. Fortunately, each day ends with her little Princess asking her to read together a fairy tale… This way every day turns out to be a special little trip, too.

Luigi

CEO and funder – info@verde-natura.com

Luigi

Luigi

Luigi is the founder of Verde Natura. He is a ski instructor and a Natura and Walking guide. Many years ago, when these professionals and this field of tourism were nearly inexistent, he decided to turn his passion into a profession. He was a pioneer then and he is a pioneer today, in the true sense of the term: as a matter of fact, he cannot stay too long behind his desk and he jumps into the next adventure as soon as he can, riding his bike to guide groups of travelers or enjoying solo trips. Travelling is his main objective in life, pure satisfaction for all his senses. Exploring, discovering and studying new territories is the first and essential step in being able to propose to his clients new and enticing experiences, letting emotions and sensations come through, together with all the details you can acknowledge only when you travel at a slow pace. This is the kind of travel that let you touch firsthand what you are experiencing and have the time to know the persons you are travelling with, enjoying shared memories that are always unique, like a good glass of wine in an amazing spot, something  Luigi considers one of the pleasures in life.

Paola

Paola

Arrived in Verde Natura in 2006, here she discovered a world which at that time was totally new to her. She loves going to the movies, food in all its aspects and attending concerts. She already used her bike before her job in Verde Natura, as she was born and raised in the Pianura Padana and that is how you go around here. However, she never thought cycling would end up being part of her work. Nonetheless, bike travelling and the idea of slow tourism are definitely in line with her approach to everyday life: live it with calm, observing and enjoying all the smaller things. Today, her life and time are filled up by her two teenage daughters, who keep her always extra busy. Her modus vivendi is nonetheless her inspiration and, every time she can, she likes to pack up and get away from the city with her husband and children for a break at a much slower pace.

Riccardo

Riccardo is a nature lover, mountain bike enthusiast in all its forms, fond of travelling, trail running, hiking, climbing, mountaineering, survival techniques… and in general anything that is outdoor sports and activities. He comes from the flatlands of the Pianura Padana but he is often up in the Apennines. He hiked around in Italy, in Africa, in the United States and in Turkey and he really cannot stop travelling, because the best trip ever… is the one to come! In addition to sports, he also loves good food, good wine, history, arts, photography and anything expressing beauty. He assesses how good he feels according to the number of days he manage to spend outdoor and he firmly believes that there is nothing in the world which is not worth to be learnt.

Sabrina

Sabrina

Sabrina has always felt an irresistible attraction for places, languages and cultures different from hers. This is why, when the time for university came by, she started studying and living around Europe. After her graduation, she worked as an interpreter and as an Italian, English and French teacher, then ending up in the journalism field. For a few years, she wrote about music, which is still one of her biggest passions. In 2006, she “bumped into” Verde Natura right after obtaining her official qualification as Nature & Walking Guide. Since then, she has swung on saddle and never jumped down. Besides riding up and down all Europe as a bike tour leader, she is also into web and communication. Outside her working hours, she dedicates herself wholeheartedly to her long-time passions (yoga, meditation, photography, trips into the wild nature) and to the new ones, that never start evolving: at the moment, she is studying to become a wine sommelier.

Tania

Tania is part of Verde Natura team since February 2007 (wow, 10th birthday this year!). She mainly works with the Incoming market, taking care of all the needs and requests of foreign clients who want to cycle and hike in Italy. She calls herself a lazy yet overactive, methodical yet messy, smiling and, at the same time, grumpy person… Long story short: everything and its opposite, depending on the day! She thinks that life has no meaning without her passions: dance (she hung up her ballet shoes years ago but she is still very proud of her first yellow tutu that she used to wear when she was 4), music (her fridge is covered in concert tickets), photography (tons of GB of pictures stored everywhere), languages (see the degree parchment on the wall), and – of course – travel (sooner or later she will go to Japan, her dream destination). She loves to fill her house with friends and cook for everybody, ride with her partner on his Vespa during summer evenings and come back home to see her dachshund Lucio’s wagging tail.
