Day 2: Copenhagen – Helsingør (48 Km/ 30 miles) | Ferry to Helsingborg (48 Km/30 miles)
We’ll start our trip cycling the streets of Copenhagen and right outside the city centre, we’ll start following the coast.
The ride continues in sight of beautiful mansions (one is Karen Blixen‘s house) until we enter Dyrehaven Park, once used by Danish Royals as hunting ground.
In Humlebæk we’ll make a stop at the Louisiana Museum, one of the most important European Museums of Modern Art and architecture master chief, where art and nature melt in the most harmonious way.
In the afternoon, we’ll reach Helsingør and its Kronborg fortress, used by Shakespeare as setting for his tragedy Hamlet. A ferry will take us then quickly to Sweden.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Helsigborg.
Day 3: Helsingborg – Båstad (63 km/ 39,5 miles)
Before leaving Helsingborg, we’ll ride along the city centre and pass by the Kärnan tower, remains of the medieval castle that once stood on the harbor.
Our itinerary continues then for a while along Helsingborg seafront, crosses an agricultural area dotted with farms and lakes and reaches Ängelholm, in the middle of Skälderviken bay, renowned destination among wave and wind surfers.
After a short break, we’ll keep riding along the coast and across beautiful landscapes, coves, fishing villages and forests.
Final destination of this stage: Båstad, one of Sweden’s most popular Summer resorts.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Båstad.
Day 4: Båstad – Varberg by train | Varberg – Kungsbacka (63 km/ 39,5 miles)
After breakfast, we’ll have a train transfer from Båstad to Varberg (approx. 1 hour).
From the imposing Varberg fortress, we’ll take Kattegatleden, a gorgeous 370 km cycle path connecting Helsingborg to Gothenburg and running along the Halland coast. Expect a relaxing ride along endless sandy beaches and typical beach huts.
In the afternoon we’ll move inland and cross the Nature Reserve at Fjärås Bräcka, a moraine hill covered with bushes and prairies, dotted with Iron Age menhirs and overviewing Lyngern Lake.
A last ride across Swedish countryside, will take us to the coastal town of Kungsbacka, with Tjolöholm castle and landscaped gardens.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Kungsbacka.
Day 5: Kungsbacka – Gothenburg (44 km/ 27,5 miles) | Gothenburg – Halden by train
After breakfast, we’ll start riding out of town and along a rocky and very jagged coast, dotted with multicoloured beach huts.
Lunch break will be in Gothenburg, the second-largest city in Sweden, considered as a valid alternative to Stockholm. We suggest to go and buy lunch at Saluhallen, the biggest indoor market where you can find a good amount of typical delicacies and to have coffee in Haga, the oldest neighborhood in Gothenburg.
Train transfer from Gothenburg to Halden (approx. 2 hours), in Norway.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Halden.
Day 6: Halden – Moss (66 km/ 41 miles)
After breakfast, we’ll start cycling across Norwegian countryside and forests, to reach our first fjord: Skjeberkilen.

Day 7: Moss – Oslo (75 km/ 47 miles)
A last ride across Norwegian coniferous forests will take us to the old village of Son, while a beautiful plateau dotted with farms and raspberry fields will be the perfect introduction to the Oslo Fjord.
When in Oslo, we recommend a stroll on the roof of the beautiful Opera House and a beer break: near the central station, they serve expensive, but excellent IPAs.
In the evening, walk up to the Nobel Peace Center and Aker Brygge wharf, a modern pedestrian area along the waterfront with restaurants, shops and views on the Marina and the Oslo Fjord. Take a seat near the water and simply enjoy the eternal sunset of Norwegian Summer.
